NAIP (National Agriculture Imagery Program) imagery is available under two sets of specifications. The most current is a one meter ground sample distance (GSD) with a horizontal accuracy within five meters of a reference ortho image, or the more historical options at a two meter GSD image accurate to within 10 meters of reference ortho imagery. All 2009 imagery is currently available from MapMart and the 2010 imagery will be incorporated as the flights are completed.
NAIP imagery is available by a custom area outline that can be submitted using our interactive mapping tool or directly to our customer service staff. These data are available in any standard projection and datum and in GeoTIFF or JPEG formats.
NAIP imagery products are also available as compressed full
county mosaics (CCM) in MrSID or JPG2000 formats. The mosaics are generated by compressing digital quarter quadrangle image tiles scanned from natural color positive or color infrared positive aerial film into a single mosaic. The mosaic may cover all or portions of an individual final product. Each individual image tile within the mosaic covers a 3.75 x 3.75 minute quarter quadrangle plus a 300 meter buffer on all four sides. All individual tile images and the resulting mosaic were rectified to the UTM coordinate system, NAD 83 and cast into a single predetermined UTM zone.
