Intermap's 5 meter DEMs

MapMart offers three different kinds of geospatial datasets from Intermap:
  • Digital Surface Model (DSM) is a first surface view of the earth containing both location and elevation information
  • Digital Terrain Model (DTM), or "bald earth" in which it is often referred, is created by digitally removing all of the cultural features inherent to a DSM by exposing the underlying terrain
  • Orthorectified Radar Image (ORI) is a grayscale image of the earth's surface that looks very similar to a monochromatic aerial photograph. However, ORIs are able to accentuate features far more than it is possible with traditional aerial photography

NEXTMap USA - Pricing starts at $30 USD per square kilometer for the DSM data and $40 per square kilometer for the DTM option. Bundling the two sets is $50 per square kilometer. The ORI data start at $5 per square kilometer. Bulk discounts are available for sites over 100 square kilometers. The minimum charge for Intermap data is $500 USD.

NEXTMap Europe - Pricing starts at $28 USD per square kilometer for the DSM or DTM data Bundling the two sets is $42 per square kilometer. The ORI data start at $7 per square kilometer. Bulk discounts are available for sites over 100 square kilometers. The minimum charge for Intermap data is $500 USD. The UK, Portugal and Northern Ireland are available as well though with slightly different pricing.
