With the launch of the GeoEye-1 Satellite in September 2008, the world's highest resolution, most advanced imagery products became available. They are easily obtained for nearly any site in the world. The GeoEye-1 Imagery has a resolution of 0.41 meters (0.5 meters for commercial customers). This sub-meter ground resolution means GeoEye-1 will be able to discern an object on the ground approximately 16 inches X 16 inches in size.
Stereo imagery is also available from GeoEye-I providing the necessary data to create custom elevation data for nearly any site in the world with detail and accuracy better than anything currently in existence.
