A scanned topographic map is a raster image of a US Geological Survey (USGS) topographic map including all collar information. The image inside the map neatline is georeferenced to the surface of the earth. MapMart offers two quality levels of the raster product, custom MapMart scanned images and the USGS Digital Raster Graphic (DRG).

MapMart Scanned Imagery -- You can request MapMart imagery to be scanned in color or gray scale at virtually any resolution. Common resolutions include 150, 200, 300, 400 and 500 dots per inch (DPI). Upon your request, MapMart will mosaic (edge match) the maps you requested into a single, seamless image. In addition, you can select a projection that meets your needs. MapMart scanned imagery is of the highest quality. File Sizes are approximated as follows: 200 DPI = 20 Megabytes, 300 DPI = 40 Megabytes, 400 DPI = 80 Megabytes.

Digital Raster Graphic -- The majority (over 95%) of DRGs with collars are in a UTM NAD 27 (Zone varies depending upon location), However there are a small amount in NAD 83. DRGs without collars are in Latitude-Longitude, both types are scanned at a resolution of 250 dots per inch. DRGs with collars can not be mosaiced. Both types (Collared and Collarless) are in GeoTIFF format, a TFW file is also included. File sizes are approximately five megabytes per quad (Zipped).
