The images acquired by SPOT Earth observation satellites are an unparalleled source of information for studying, monitoring, forecasting and managing natural resources and human activities on our planet.
The information in a SPOT image gives an objective, reliable picture of the Earth’s surface. Both accurate and all-encompassing, a single SPOT image covers a surface area of 3,600 km².
The SPOT archives have more than 10 million images covering almost the whole surface of the Earth several times over.
SPOT Maps: Spot Image’s SPOTMaps products provide nationwide or regional coverage, orthorectified, derived from SPOT 5 color satellite images at a resolution of 2.5 meters. Framed according to your area, SPOTMaps are the ideal geographic reference for your visualization, mapping and planning needs
SPOTMaps provide the visual product and basemap you need to:
- View an entire territory
- Simulate siting of new infrastructures
- Perform impact studies
- Produce or update zoning plans and maps
- Share information with your partners
